KEYS

  • Easily copied and probably by the wrong people
  • Can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Cannot track who unlocked the door
  • If lost, expensive to re-key locks and issue new keys
  • Former tenants and employees often keep their keys

ACCESS CARDS

  • Cannot be copied or duplicated
  • Track who entered what door at exactly what time
  • Access is determined by you; who can enter what door, on what days, at what time
  • Premise doors can be locked automatically after work hours
  • Alarm can be set for doors left propped open
  • Allows egress doors that can prevent entry but never prevent exiting
  • Lock mechanisms are stronger than conventional locks
  • Can be installed into new construction or existing buildings
